Monitoring the internet produces thousands of potential matches. This can mean that (from time to time), false positives  (images that look similar to yours but are not), are shown as matches. Read More

Our accuracy filters allow you to toggle and only see images which scored high in similarity to your source image.

The 'low' filter, shows all matches regardless of the accuracy score. Pixsy still shows you these matches under the "low" filter as this may be where you find modified uses of your work.

Ways to help avoid false positives:

  • Upload the source image as close to the size and format that our scanners will most likely be finding (i.e. the same as you post on your site)
  • Be aware that generic images (e.g. of an iPhone) or of famous landmarks, or the moon, are more prone to large numbers of similar matches.
  • You can ignore an image from your images to stop it appearing in your matches, which may be necessary if you have one image which generates a lot of false positives - to do this click on the image in the image overview and select "ignore"
