What is a match?

A match is a term Pixsy uses to refer to images we find that ‘match’ the visual profile of your own synced or uploaded images.

Matches show you the places where our monitoring system has found your work online and are shown by the image and the domain that it was found on. Sometimes Pixsy will find images that are not yours but look very similar to your image. This is to help you find derivative works, where changes may have been made to your images.

Occasionally you may see a match where the matching image is very similar to yours, but not exactly the same - this is called a 'false positive'. You can see fewer false positives by searching for matches in your high accuracy filter. You can also hide this from your view by marking it as 'not my image' under the 'hide single match' section.
