What are commercial matches?

Commercial matches are matches that Pixsy estimates are on a commercial website - i.e. for a business or organization. The commercial filter is designed to help you find the commercial use of your work that may be suitable for resolution. We highly recommend utilizing this filter as it typically removes the majority of non-commercial (i.e. personal blogs, spam sites, etc.) matches from view and allows you to focus on more feasible matches. Please note, even if it is a commercial site, but there is no contact information available, we will not be able to pursue. Our commercial filter is a great starting point but is not perfect - it can at times pick up personal project sites and small non-commercial organizations. That is why we also rely on your review.

Note that Pixsy cannot recognize where your images have been legitimately used (with a valid license or permission). Pixsy may show you uses of your work that you have authorized.

In these instances, you can approve the use of the image, which will hide the match. Simply select the "approved use" button in the middle of the match viewer. You can check these approved uses by navigating to settings in the bottom left of your dashboard. Approving a domain will block it from case submission.
