What makes a viable case submission?

Our copyright experts and legal partners closely analyze each case submission before taking action, however, there are times when we can't pursue your case. To understand why we may not always be able to accept your case, it's useful to become familiar with what we look for when studying a case submission.

Here’s a quick overview of what makes a viable case for Pixsy:

  • The website/business operates in a Pixsy-supported country
  • The website is a commercial business, major publication, organization, institution, or government agency
  • The website is fully operational and regularly updated
  • There are no open questions about past licensing or conflicts with stock agencies
  • There is full contact information for the image user including email, phone number, and physical address
  • The image was published under a rights managed license (not public domain or CC0)

You can also take a look at our article on what makes a good case submission for more information.

For cases that are not for commercial use, or from a country we do not support, we offer the Pixsy Takedown service. You can send legally binding takedown notices worldwide, which request that your image be removed.

If you find a case that you think you might like to submit but want a second opinion first, please contact support@pixsy.com with a link to the match/website and any relevant information.
