How can I increase the likelihood that my case will be accepted or resolved by Pixsy?

Make sure you have provided accurate information about the history of the photo, for example: where it has been sold in the past or if it has been released under Creative Commons.

Please also list all the places it is currently online, and if it is for sale disable that option while the case is ongoing - if, for example, your photo is available for $10 on a microstock site, it is going to be hard to establish how much more your photo is worth. We typically will not accept cases with low public pricing.

You do not have to register your images with a Copyright Office to use Pixsy, but this does help to make a case more valuable. Registration with the USCO is open to photographers regardless of where they live, and there is only a small fee (try bulk registering up to 750 images). Read more

Please lookout for any emails from your case manager. Sometimes, while a case is underway, we need additional information or documentation from you; getting this back in good time is important.

Please don’t contact the person using your image. We know it can be tempting when they’ve wronged you but it interferes with our ability to settle the matter. You should let us know if they attempt to contact you directly.

Please refer to our feature article on what makes a good case submission, for more information. Or contact support, if you have any questions.
