My takedown notice was ignored, what can I do?

The majority of takedown notices are responded to in a timely manner however occasionally you may find that your work remains on a website long after the takedown was issued. 

Under DMCA guidelines once a takedown notice has been sent an image user needs to respond within a reasonable amount of time - so just because the notice has not been heeded within a day or two does not necessarily mean that it has been ignored. 

If a few weeks have gone by and there's been no response you should first check the contact that the takedown notice was sent to - there might be a more relevant person to address with this issue. If that is the case  then sending another takedown notice to this individual might prove more effective. Alternatively, you can also email the business/website to request an acknowledgment of your takedown notice.
